Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 June 2026

This page covers both how Meadow ("we", "us", "Meadow") handles your information (the Privacy Policy) and the rules for using the service (the Terms of Service). By creating an account or using Meadow, you agree to both.

Meadow is a curated, low-stimulation video app for young children, available on TV devices and at meadow.tv. Accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian.

Privacy Policy

Who we are

Meadow is operated by Meadow. If you have any questions about your privacy, or want to make any of the requests described below, email us at hello@meadow.tv.

Information we collect

  • Your email address — used to create your account, sign you in (we use passwordless "magic link" sign-in, so we do not store passwords), and send you account and billing emails.
  • Subscription & payment status — whether your subscription is active. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
  • Approximate location (country only) — derived from your internet (IP) address so we can show the correct catalogue for your region. We do not store your IP address or pinpoint your location.
  • Viewing activity — which episodes have been watched, playback progress, and screen-time totals. This is stored locally on your device to power features like "Continue" and daily limits. We also collect aggregate usage data — such as which shows and episodes are played and overall watch time — linked to your account so we can understand how Meadow is used and improve the service. This is product-usage data tied to the adult account holder; it is not used to build an advertising or behavioural profile about your child.
  • Device pairing codes — short, temporary codes used to link a TV to your account. These expire automatically.

Cookies

The Meadow website uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in to your account. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The TV app does not use cookies; it stores sign-in and viewing information locally on the device.

Children's privacy

Meadow is designed to be watched by children, but it is set up and controlled entirely by a parent or guardian. Children do not log in, enter information, or interact with any account features. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The only account-holder information we hold (an email address) belongs to the adult who created the account.

We aim to comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Australian Privacy Act. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact hello@meadow.tv and we will delete it.

How we use your information

  • To provide and operate the service (sign-in, showing the right catalogue, remembering watch progress).
  • To process your subscription and send essential account, billing, and support emails.
  • To maintain security and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers we share data with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run Meadow. Each only receives the information needed for its role:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Supabase — account database and authentication.
  • Cloudflare — website and app hosting, content delivery, and region detection.
  • Resend — sending account and sign-in emails.
  • Embedded video player — videos play through a third-party embedded video player, which may set its own cookies and process data under its own privacy policy when a video loads.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel and ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information except where we must keep records to meet legal or tax obligations. Temporary data like pairing codes is deleted automatically.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and limiting access to the people and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and will notify you and any relevant regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing hello@meadow.tv. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Australian Privacy Principles, the GDPR, or the CCPA.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Terms of Service

Your account

You must be an adult (18 or older) to create a Meadow account, and you are responsible for activity that happens under it. Keep your sign-in email secure. Meadow is for personal, household use, not commercial use.

Subscription, billing & trial

  • Meadow is a paid subscription. Current pricing and billing frequency are shown at checkout and in your account before you confirm.
  • New accounts may include a free trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends, unless stated otherwise at checkout.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
  • You can cancel anytime from your account's billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods.
  • We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes apply to future billing periods.

The content

Meadow is a curated selection of publicly available children's videos, played through a third-party embedded video player. We do not own this content and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the shows, channels, or rights-holders featured. Availability can change at any time — videos may be removed or restricted by their owners or by the hosting platform, and may differ by region. We curate for a calm, low-stimulation experience but make no guarantee about the suitability of any particular video for your child; parental judgement always applies.

Intellectual property

The Meadow name, app, website, design, and software are owned by Meadow and protected by law. You may use them only as part of normally using the service. The shows and videos belong to their respective owners; nothing here transfers any rights in that content to you.

Copyright concerns

We respect intellectual-property rights. Meadow plays publicly available content through a third-party embedded video player and does not host that content itself. If you are a rights-holder and believe content should not be featured, email hello@meadow.tv with details and we will respond promptly.

Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the service — for example, by trying to access it without paying, sharing your account beyond your household, interfering with its operation, reverse-engineering the app, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

Availability

We work to keep Meadow running smoothly but provide it "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and access depends on third parties (such as the embedded video provider and your internet connection) that we do not control.

Termination

You can stop using Meadow and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meadow and Meadow are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law (such as the Australian Consumer Law).

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continuing to use Meadow after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
